Care homes and nursing homes don’t always get a good press. But today I visited Brook House, New Malden. Here was a home that was beautifully arranged and where the care and kindness to all the residents was clear to see. We did a simple task together, sowing sunflower seeds in pots. Each resident has their own labelled pot. A little bit of a competition,
I hope they all germinate and the biggest sunflower grown will win its owner a prize. It was a great chance to meet some dear old characters and the staff who care for them.
